How presentation reporting works
When a sales associate records a presentation, Lychee does not share it immediately. This page explains what happens to the presentation. It shows how Lychee finalizes and shares it at the end of the day, and who can see it. To set up any of this, see Configure presentations.
The end-of-day recap
Section titled “The end-of-day recap”During the day, Lychee saves a presentation as a draft. At the end of each day, Lychee collects all the work of each presenter into a single batch. Lychee then sends this batch by email. This email is the recap. The batch contains these items from that day:
- the presenter’s presentations
- the presenter’s completed tasks
- the messages that the presenter sent to customers
- the presenter’s event invites and RSVPs
When Lychee sends the recap, it also finalizes those presentations. The presentations move from draft to submitted. Only then do they count toward customer history, likes and dislikes, and product insights.
Two results of this process are important to know:
- Lychee skips a draft that has no customer. The presentation stays a draft. Lychee does not send it by email, and it never counts. If a sales associate reports that a presentation “disappeared” from the day’s totals, first look for a missing customer.
- The recap comes from the presenter. If your business has a verified sending domain with send on behalf turned on, Lychee sends the recap from the presenter’s own address. The receiving groups are the recipients. If not, Lychee sends the recap to the presenter from the Lychee address and copies the receiving groups. See Set up email sending.
Rules control who receives a presenter’s recap. See Configure presentations.
Who can see a presentation
Section titled “Who can see a presentation”These people can see a presentation:
- the presenter who recorded it.
- all collaborators credited on it.
- the business owner, who sees every presentation.
- all members of the groups to which a rule sends the presenter’s presentations. A rule gives lasting visibility, not only email.
- a sales associate to whom a customer was transitioned. After a customer transition, the receiving sales associate gets visibility on the previous sales associate’s most recent presentation for that customer. This gives the new sales associate context to continue the relationship. (If you prefer to hand over the customer’s full presentation history, or none of it, ask Lychee support.)
