Endear alternative
Built for stores that sell one piece at a time
Endear is strongest at reaching customers — campaigns, stories, segmentation across a fashion brand’s channels. Lychee is strongest at what happens after someone says yes.
Book a DemoEndear positions itself as a retail CRM and clienteling platform, strongest around customer data, segmentation and outreach — email and SMS campaigns, shoppable stories, AI note-taking, and a long list of POS integrations. For a fashion or lifestyle brand whose growth problem is reaching the right customers, that shape makes sense, and on campaigns and integration breadth they are ahead of us.
A jeweler or an authorized watch dealer has a different problem. The bottleneck isn’t the send — it’s the eleven people waiting on a reference, the piece three weeks into service with no update, the trade-in nobody has priced, and the special order sitting at the vendor without an ETA. Those are operations with states, owners, deadlines and money attached.
Lychee models them as first-class records, then lets clienteling and outreach sit on top of that operational spine instead of beside it. The outreach still happens — templates, segments, milestones, event invitations — but it fires off things that are actually happening in the business.
Endear is a product of its own company; this page is our own account of where Lychee fits. Check it against their site before you decide.

Where Lychee is different
The transaction has a lifecycle
A special order isn’t a tag on a contact — it’s a record with a quote, a deposit, a PO, a vendor thread, an ETA and a pickup, each with its own automatic nags.
Special Orders & Vendor ProcurementService is a first-class object
Repairs run intake to pickup with vendor round-trips, insured shipping by item value, printed slips and a branded estimate page the client approves and pays online.
End-to-End Repair ManagementScarcity is handled, not messaged
For allocated references, an interest list with a real queue and auto-allocation beats a broadcast — the piece goes to the right client in a defensible order.
How allocation worksBooks belong to associates
Clients belong to the associate who created them, visibility is earned the real way, and every access grant is audited — the model a commissioned floor actually needs.
Client Ownership & Book ProtectionBuilt for the counter
Native iOS and iPad apps plus hardware-secured shared kiosks, so intake, presentations and pickups happen where the client is standing.
Secure In-Store iPad KiosksAI that reads your own data
An in-app assistant that cross-references customers, orders, interest lists, events and shipments and exports what it finds — plus per-client recommendations built from real likes and purchases.

- Is Lychee a replacement for a marketing platform?
- No, and it’s worth being straight about it. If your main problem is running segmented email and SMS campaigns across a DTC brand, Endear is built for that and Lychee is not. Lychee does templated one-to-one outreach, milestone reminders and event invitations — outreach attached to something happening in the business, rather than a campaign calendar.
- What does Lychee cost?
- $100 per seat per month for the full platform with every module included — clienteling, special orders, repairs, shipping, invoicing, the AI assistant, and native apps.
- We’re a jeweler, not a fashion brand. Does that matter?
- It’s most of the difference. The bottleneck in a jewelry or watch business usually isn’t reach — it’s the eleven people waiting on one reference, the piece three weeks into service, and the trade-in nobody has priced. Those are records with states, owners and deadlines, and that’s what Lychee models.
- Can Lychee sit on top of our existing POS?
- Yes. Lychee isn’t a point of sale. It syncs Shopify and POS sales history onto the client record so the profile stays complete, while the register stays where it is.
