ClientBook alternative

Clienteling is the start of the job, not the whole job

ClientBook puts the client book and the texting on the floor. If the repairs, special orders, trade-ins and shipping still live in a spreadsheet next to it, that’s the gap Lychee closes.

ClientBook built its name on clienteling and client-to-associate texting for jewelry stores, and shops that adopt it generally do get the client book out of the notebook. Its Concierge service goes further than we do in one direction: it will run the holiday outreach for you, which is a staffing answer we don’t offer.

The question worth asking is what happens to everything else. In most jewelry and watch businesses the clienteling tool sits next to a separate repair system, a spreadsheet for special orders, an email folder for trade-ins, a shipping account, and an invoicing tool — and the client’s history is split across all of them.

Lychee is built as one system for that whole operation. Clienteling is a module, not the product: presentations, interest lists, special orders, repairs, trade-ins, events, shipping and invoicing all write to the same customer timeline, so an associate picking up the phone sees the entire relationship rather than the part that happened to live in the CRM.

ClientBook is a product of its own company; this page is our own account of where Lychee fits. Check it against their site before you decide.

Side by side

The ClientBook column records what ClientBook’s own marketing site documented on 7 September 2026. A dash means we couldn’t find it described there — not that their product can’t do it. Check anything that matters to you with them directly.

Where Lychee is different

After-sales, not just before

Service and repair is the most battle-tested workflow in Lychee — intake to vendor round trip to pickup, with two-way threads to both the client and the watchmaker, payments and printed slips.

End-to-End Repair Management

Demand you can’t stock yet

Interest in an allocated reference becomes a numbered entry with a lifecycle, and product queues allocate incoming stock to the people waiting — in order, with expiry timers and templated notices.

How allocation works

Vendors are in the system too

Special orders are sourced from the brand inside the record: quote, deposit, PO, threaded vendor email with auto-CC lists, and automatic nags for missing prices and slipping ETAs.

Special Orders & Vendor Procurement

It ships and invoices too

Carrier labels and tracking, insured shipments by item value, and Stripe invoicing are part of the same system rather than a separate stack to reconcile against the client record.

Stripe Invoicing, Multi-Account

Genuinely native apps

Real iOS, iPad and Mac apps with camera scanning, Face ID, push and Calendar sync — plus hardware-secured shared iPad kiosks for the floor.

Native iOS, iPad & Mac Apps

You design the client record

Unlimited custom fields through a visual Customer Card builder — ring size, preferred brands, anniversaries, wishlists — set as required, repeatable or captured at first contact, with no engineering.

Questions people ask before switching

What does Lychee cost?
$100 per seat per month for the full platform, including clienteling, special orders, repairs, shipping, invoicing, the AI assistant, and native apps.
Can we bring our existing client book across?
Yes. Customers, products and existing waiting lists import from CSV or Excel with column mapping, validation and de-duplication, and a dry-run preview before anything is created. Getting the data in is usually the real cost of switching, so it’s built as self-service rather than a services engagement.
Do we have to replace our POS?
No. Lychee isn’t a point of sale and doesn’t try to be. It syncs with Shopify and with your POS so sales history lands on the client record, while the register stays where it is.
We only want the clienteling part. Is the rest in the way?
Modules are turned on per business. Start with client profiles, presentations and outreach, and activate repairs, special orders or shipping as your store needs them.
